Robosoft specializes in the design and development of CNC-controls and software, mainly for industrial sheet metal machines, such as press brakes, punching machines, shears, laser/plasma,... We offer a wide range of standard automations, but also very specific, custom designed systems for many different kinds of applications, e.g. metalworking machines, woodworking machines, milling machines and lathes, etc. Robosoft focuses on two types of automations: · The normal, easy to use standalone automation, e.g.: · single-axis control that functions as a back gauge · shear control that - unlike other shears - operates using 4 axes (back gauge, blade gap, blade angle and cutting length), sensor information and a safety module.
· The complex control for full-automatic production, capable of communicating with other machines. This communication between e.g. shear, puncher/laser/plasma, and press brake makes it possible to process a part from its drawing to its actual production, without having to leave the workplace. Our controls are able to support up to 32 axes. They are also equipped with the latest hardware, for example up to 15” LCD displays with touch screen, driven by high-performance, PC-like configurations. ____________________________________________
Next to machine controls, we also develop test systems, safety systems, stand-alone software, robot systems, etc… We happily take on every challenging request for customization and/or innovation! ____________________________________________
Thanks to our extensive experience in machine process control, we also offer specific services to our customers: · Consultancy and assistance in the acquisition of conformity reports (normalized test procedures, documentation structure,…) based on EN60204 (electrical equipment) and current EMC regulations. · Advice and assistance in order to make CNC-controlled processes compliant to the current safety regulations. ____________________________________________
HISTORY For more than 25 years now, Robosoft has been designing and developing hardware and firmware for machine controls. At the time of our founding in 1985, we worked with only three engineers, and over the years this team has grown up to 40. Robosoft delivers around 1200 controls a year. This has been the fact for over 25 years, and even the first controls we’ve developed can still be repaired in our service department! Our goal was - and still is - to manufacture user-friendly, electronically controlled systems. Our "Synchro" pioneered as a low-cost but high-performance control, easy-to-use and completely electronically controlled. Based on the Synchro, we designed a machine-independent 16-axis control. Using this 16-axis control we were able to develop our press brake control (up to 10 controlled axes), and our punching machine (XY) control with 8 controlled axes. The linking of software and hardware made it possible for us to produce optimal, fast machines, for which cycle times of 0.1ms or 0.01ms were not a problem. The mixed use of different types of axes (servomotors, linear motors, AC-motors, even hydraulic axes), depending on all kinds of sensor information (position, pressure, temperature, light,…), resulted in a seemingly simple, but high-quality and high-performance control. As time progressed, Robosoft became specialized in the technology of sheet bending. In 2007, we concretized our year-long research in automated bending and came up with our unique automated bending system. Our gathered experience in robot technology immediately led to the development of RoboStudio, Robosoft’s software for trajectory programming of industrial robots. Currently, Robosoft stands firmly - thanks to its diversity - in the ever-evolving world of technology.
